Wash your jacket

If it stinks like a teenage locker room. Washing is a great way to extend the lifespan of your Jacket. Dirt and other contaminants like sweat and grime can put a damper on the insulation’s insulating characteristics.    

How to wash your 3777 Jacket

Wash on cool cycle with a non-biological detergent (one without biological enzymes) such as Woolite. Do not use fabric softeners (fabric softeners are a hoax and can damage your clothes and washing machine). Make sure to close all the zippers. An additional rinse cycle is recommended to remove leftover soap. Leftover soap will negatively affect the loft of your jacket.

How to dry your 3777 Jacket

To bring back the loft in your jacket, it is essential to tumble try on low heat, with either dryer balls or tennis balls to prevent the insulation from clumping. Once the jacket begins to regain some loft, gently shake/agitate and redistribute the down evenly. Do this in 15-minute intervals until the jacket is dry. Do not line dry or dry clean.

How to store your 3777 Jacket

Store your jacket in a hanger in your closet. Avoid leaving it stuffed in its pocket or in a backpack for extended periods of time, this will change the loft characteristics.
