M's La Manzana Belt

In the summer of 2006, we were in Buenos Aires Argentina. Our host Dad, Luciano picked on Steve Brown quite a bit (now currently owner at Fisher Brewing in Salt Lake City). Steve never knew what was being said at the dinner table as Spanish was the only language allowed but this one night he answered one of Luciano’s questions with, “No se, pero La Manzana es roja.” He earned the name, “La Manzana.” Argentina is well known for their leather goods, and on that trip we all bought belts from craftsmen on the streets in Buenos Aires. More than a dozen years later we asked all the fellas to send us their belts to the Smith and Rogue lab, and we re-created them here in the USA.
